Asheville Youth Rowing Association seeks to add an assistant coach to our staff. Rowing experience is required but coaching experience, while preferred, is not necessary. Asheville is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina and is considered an incredible place to live and work. This is a two hour per day job for five days per week. Summer 2024 Learn to Row camps
There are three options for summer learn to row camps this summer.
June 17 through 21: each day from 9 to noon.
July 15 through 19: each day from 9 to noon.
August 12 through 16: each day from 9 to noon.
Come join our alums some of whom are now rowing in college who will be helping to coach: Riley Minor, Coxswain at the University of Alabama; Leahbelle Paladino, coxswain at the University of Portland; Claire Carver-Ritter, rower at University of Louisville and Dylan Paull, UNC-Wilmington.
The cost for each one week class of five sessions is $225.00. Go to the Summer Camp page on this website to register and pay.
Bring a friend to practice day is February 10
If you are a current team member of AYRA, bring a friend or friends to practice on Saturday, February 10 from 9-11.
Your friend will need to register ahead by simply filling out the “Contact Us” form on this website. We need to know their name, age, grade and school.
No seniors though – this is a recruiting tool.
